How Map Areas Are Used

Your home and work map areas are used to make ride offers and requests visible among commuters.

So, ride offers/requests are visible among commuters with shared map areas. We suggest to use at least 2 map areas for home and at least 2 map areas for work.

Typical examples of map areas are:

  • the nearest intersections,
  • parking lots,
  • transit hubs,
  • major roads, etc.

The map area is in the form of circle which is defined by its center and radius.

While creating ride offers or requests, you will be able to enter more specific descriptions for pick-ups and drop-offs. Offer/request pick-ups and drop-offs should be inside of respective map locations.
